INSTRUCTION

Project 2A : Production Shooting

For this particular exercise, our class was divided into groups, and we worked as production shooting teams. Mr Martin provided us with footage from a Movie called "Everything , Everywhere, All At Once" as references for conducting this shooting exercise.

Week 5 - Week 6 : Forming Group and Film Project Assign

I was distributed to Group 2 . In the team, I undertook the role of the Lighting Crew and Boom Operator . Below is the crew list of our production team:

We were to film according to the storyboard provided by Mr.Martin in each scene :

Week 7 : Production Shooting

We had our shooting on May 20, 2023 (Week 7). Here are some behind the scenes:

Week 8 : Production Shoot Editing

Before editing the production shoot video, Producer was reviewed and listened to the recorded video and audio clips. All Group selected the clips that we wanted to include in the final video. Following that, we organised and placed these chosen clips into two separate files for easier access during the editing process.

Afterwards, I made sure to adjust the sequence settings to have a frame size of 1920 x 1080 pixels before commencing the editing process. Then, I proceeded to import the selected clips into the sequence and trimmed out any unnecessary parts.

One scene was shot in slow motion, so I sped it up to bring it back to what the original video looked like.

Consequently, I made further enhancements to the video by doing colour correction, adding background music, captions and an adjustment layer.

Project 2B : Tiktok / Insta Video

We have to film a TikTok video to express ourselves and our personality in creative in self shooting and editing. Before having and executing the TikTok ideas, we were tasked to discover three favourite TikTok videos and come out with a short rationale for each.

Week 7 : Tiktok Ideation

I write down the TikTok video ideas in the Google Slides template provided. In the slides, we should include a short introduction about ourselves, a description of the video idea, some music to be used and create a mood board. 

Initially, I had an idea of teach others to be able to make drinks or food in a short period of time,it's suitable for the fast-paced life of modern people to watch.

I used a mobile editing app called CapCut China to edit my TikTok video. I added some description and filter in each scene.

REFLECTION

During this project, I acquired fundamental shooting skills, such as understanding different types of shots and effectively setting up the camera for the production shoot. Additionally, I gained valuable knowledge in video editing, including using video transitions, incorporating sound effects, applying colour corrections, and utilising adjustment layers to enhance the overall visual appeal of the video. Overall, this project was an engaging experience, allowing me to learn from shooting and video editing practices.
