Exercise 1 : Quantify & Visualize Data

Week 1 (5/2/2024)

Information must be presented as is. We are required to arrange the objects  with relevant indicators written out with pens to help you visualize the quantity and data. 
Take a picture of the final assembly and upload into your Google Drive folder.

I quantify the rocks and wrote down the information into the A4 paper

Exercise 2 : L.A.T.C.H (Location / Alphabet / Time / Category / Hierarchy)

Week 2 (12/2/2024)

For the second exercise,  we need to organize minimum 4 information into a visual poster that combined and utilizes the LATCH principles. Use a digital photo editing / illustration software available to assemble the characters into a LATCH infographic poster. We can re-use back the images of the characters, but must create the rest visuals by our own to complete the poster.

Lecturer give us three topic to choose which are pokemon, dinosaur and FFXIV Bestiary and I decided go with dinosaur theme. My idea is main in Location , divide the dinosaurs according to where they were born by using a map, and then write their details individually.

Lecturer's Feedback:

Don't know enough about the topic you've chosen and may be the outcome will not come out with a clear enough explanation of the effect.

So ,I started do some research to more understanding the topic that i choose and I've found that this type of design is more able to give the reader a clearer understanding.

I'm going to start with a timeline which are Triassic ,Jurassic and Tertiary next to it (earliest at the top) , After that, it with regional split in the middle (birthplace) which are North America , South America and Canada and then they would be categorized it based on they are carnivores or herbivores .

I roughly draw out the sketch using Adobe Illustrator Pen tools.

I started draw out some details like stone, dinosaur bones and trees

After that , I add Dinosaur according to their birthplace and birth year range

I arrange dinosaur based on they are herbivores or carnivores,I put herbivores dinosaur on left side ;carnivores dinosaurs on right side.Then, I add some elements like grass and bones to present they are herbivores or carnivores.

Final step I add a dinosaurs title
