Sketch & Rational

My theme is 'Monster, Inc.,' so anyone who's seen the movie knows the story. The play revolves around the idea that every monster needs to open a child's door, scare them, and collect the child's screams into an oxygen tank. My concept was to feature one of the two types of doors. The pink one is more iconic as it's the little girl's door. I wanted to incorporate the word 'knokknok' with the door shaking, followed by a scene with a monster's shadow and eyes—perhaps winking or saying hello. Then, the door closes again, portraying the monster. This sequence will repeat, forming a loop.

Progression

I used 2 software to complete my work :

1. Adobe Illustrator : Digitalizing the sketch

2. Adobe Photoshop : Animating my work (GIF)

Adobe Illustrator

1. Firstly, I sketch out all the elements out by using pen tools

2. Next, I'm trying fill up boo's room same with references image colour. I also added some shadow and to the door and cabinet.

3. I coloured the wallpaper.

4.After that , I'm trying to making a door open motion by picture.

 

5. Lastly , I added a green monster eyes with smiling mouth.

Adobe Photoshop

1. After done digitalizing my works in illustrator , I put all my works into Adobe Photoshop , add a black frame and Monster.Inc logo , adjust the stroke with white and blue color , apply all the image .

2. Then, I used Timeline and adjusted the seconds in each frame .
